Small town, big celebration!

This seaside community knows how to celebrate on the Fourth of July.

The festivities start with a Pancake Breakfast hosted by the Fire Department, a parade at noon, concerts and barbecues. And in case that’s not enough to keep you occupied, Point Roberts is surrounded by fabulous beaches and parks.

8:00am to 11:00am: Pancake Breakfast
Pancake Breakfast at the Community Center, which is also a fundraiser for Point Roberts Emergency Prepardness. In addition to pancakes, the menu also includes scrambled eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy. $10 for adults. $5 for kids. Address: 1437 Gulf Road

11:00am: Flag Raising Ceremony
Flag Raising Ceremony at the Community Center, hosted by Point Roberts Park and Recreation. Address: 1437 Gulf Road

12:00pm: Parade
This is the very best event hosted by Point Roberts each year! The fire department, businesses, community groups, neighbourhoods and quirky clubs, cruise Gulf Road in colourfully decorate floats (whether that be a flat bed truck, ride-on mower, horse or vintage car). The theme for this years parade is “Small town. Big Heart.” and travels along Gulf Road from Marine Drive (Kiniski’s Reef) to Tyee Drive (UPS store).

Fireworks - Communications Update on July 4, 2:00pm - there seems to be confusion as to whether or not there are fireworks this evening. Employees at Salt Water Cafe advised that there are fireworks happening near South Beach that can be seen from the Marina/Gulf Road. Sorry that we can’t offer more specific details at this time.
